Scholarship Program
Touch of Enchantment’s Metaphysical Institute will be offering a scholarship program starting in 2007. We will award one student, twice a year, a free course of their choosing. To participate in the scholarship program, students will submit a story for either PIT (Paranormal Investigations Team) or Stories of Enchantment (Inspirational Stories).
PIT Scholarship Essay
Before submitting an essay, please visit http://pit.touchofenchantment.com/shiveringstories.html for samples of other Haunted Stories. Your story should be completely true and you need to have experienced it first hand. Your story should be as detailed as possible. There is not a required word count, but please don't submit a one paragraph essay.
Stories of Enchantment Scholarship Essay
Please visit http://stories.touchofenchantment.com for a sample of an Inspirational Story. Please choose something that happpened to you, that inspired you to do (or not do) something. Your story should be completely true and you need to have experienced it first hand. Your story should be as detailed as possible. There is not a required word count, but please don't submit a one paragraph essay.
Grading
Please use a grammar and spelling check before submitting your essay. Although perfect grammar is not required, we will not be editing your story before it is published on the website. We would like everyone to be able to read and understand each story. Each story will be evaluated by an instructor to see if it qualifies. All qualifying stories will be graded like an assignment. The author with the highest grade will be the winner.
To submit your story, simply email scholarship@institute.touchofenchantment.com. Send your story as a Word attachment. If you do not have Microsoft Word, please send it as a Notepad or Wordpad document. Don't forget to provide your name and email (as registered). If you would like your story to appear anonymously , please say so. The winner will be listed in more than one location on the Touch of Enchantment network.
Deadlines
The first scholarship winner will be announced on May 1st. The deadline for entry is March 31st. The second scholarship winner will be announced on November 1st. The deadline for entry is September 30th.
